>As I write this blog, I’m on the plane flying back from 4 days of Business Mastery with the legend that is Tony Robbins. Those of you unaware of what a TR event is like, click the video below.
Business Mastery is my second event in the last six months and already I have planned my next one. In March 2014, we go to Unleash The Power Within. The DMC Fitness Crew are coming with me as part of their development as coaches. It is going to be epic.
If you have experienced a Tony Robbins event, you will know how amazing it is. For those who haven’t, it may seem very happy-clappy and all positive thinking type stuff but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Tony and the team at Robbins Research make you feel alive, happy, strong and confident. He encourages you to go with him by playing full out and giving 100% passion and commitment during the whole event. In doing so, he fires up the real you whilst all the while anchoring into you the deep beliefs that you can and will achieve your goals and outcomes. All this is done with music and dancing, smiles, laughter, stupidness, hugs and hi 5’s. He does this to process deep inside your brain and body all the positive effects from the thoughts, feelings and actions. The mind and body react better to the feelings of strength, happiness and confidence rather than weak, sad and shy.
With this in mind, the skills, tools and processes he uses are a guaranteed way to positively effect you at such a deep level with solid anchors of the ‘I can’, ‘I must’, ‘I will’ type of enhancing belief and attitude.
I invest in Tony Robbins events because they turn me on to life, fire me up and get me ready to attack all the areas of my life. I’m always left feeling buzzing and with a higher level of passion and commitment to further serve those around me and so we can all achieve a newer, higher, better standard of life, becoming a healthier, happier, stronger version of me.
So far, Business Mastery has been my most expensive investment to date and I got a full return on that investment on the first day. We were lectured on many subjects by some of the leaders in each industry.
Orvel Ray Wilson on the subject of guerilla marketing. I really loved this section and was very impressed leaving with loads of ideas to execute.
“A full-time professional speaker since 1980, Orvel Ray Wilson has led more than a thousand large-audience seminars, custom training events and on-site workshops. His first book, Guerrilla Selling, published in 1991, became a bestselling classic, and made his name as an innovator in sales and marketing. As Senior Partner in The Guerrilla Group, he built with his team a multi-million dollar seminar company and conducted hundreds of public and private training programs for clients all over the US, Europe, and Australia.
Orvel Ray, together with co-authors Mark S. A. Smith and Jay Conrad Levinson, expanded the Guerrilla Marketing franchise to include Guerrilla Trade Show Selling, Guerrilla TeleSelling, Guerrilla Negotiating, and Guerrilla Retailing, and numerous audio and video programs distributed worldwide. The Guerrilla series now includes 47 titles with 21 million books sold worldwide in 61 languages.
Kieth Cunningham on the subject of Financial Literacy. This was really amazing and I left with the full ability to understand all the paperwork I get from my accountant.
“Keith J. Cunningham has more than thirty years of experience in business and investments. He has started several companies, negotiated about deals of millions of dollars, and has brought in and used for his business companies hundreds of millions.
He has made little deals, but also completed several big Wall Street transactions. He has acquaintance with business and investments from all possible points of view – from getting money to start a company, to big operations, to evaluations of companies, to investments in companies and markets.
Keith is a well-known speaker with charisma, who has spoken on seminars around the world, for example with Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki. He is a talented and inspiring teacher who loves his subject. He has the skill to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, with which one can develop useful strategies which have to do with money, investments, negotiate and business.
It is said that entrepreneurship is something that cannot be teached. Don’t believe it. In the Business School for Entrepreneurs of Keith Cunningham students learn practically-oriented strategies to start a business as well as critical skills necessary to be successful in business and in life”.
Both men with amazing stories of their own and a level of success I one day aspire to have myself. I feel extremely privileged to have been lectured and educated by them and this alone was well worth the ticket fee.
What I did learn and take away from this seminar was:
- I went a business operator and left a business owner.
- I understand the role I have within the design of the organisation and also who and what I have to add.
- I understand who, what, and where we are, I also now have a detailed map of where we have to go.
- I understand where we are in the life cycle of our business, our industry and of me as the owner and for all my crew members.
- I know what season my business and industry are in.
- Armed with these tools, I can now design an effective business map to be executed now and over the coming 3-6-9-12-18-24 and 36 months.
- I understand that my accounts report cards come in 3’s.
- That I own and owe ‘things’ and ‘stuff’ which gives me more or less and that all cash is not equal.
- You can’t spend profits you can spend 0 cash and 0 cash is the most important part.
- I have the tools to do a complete and have done a MRI type scan on my company and also how to surgically operate and remove as and where I need to.
- I know that X marks the spot and my treasure map is ready; that in winter, the gladiators shine and winter is my season.
- I recognise what used to be the choke holds over my business, my past limiting beliefs and I am excited to wipe these out over the next 3 to 6, 9, 12 months and beyond.
- I definitely have the skills and processes to grow the business by at least 100% and this next chapter will be the most exciting chapter of the story so far and without attending Business Mastery I would be oblivious to any of this.
Granted we invested £6500 in total on this experience, the ROI will be massive. I leave a TR event very happy, excited and stuffed to the brim with actions to take forward. I am 100% committed to my own personal development and I having a raging hunger to educate, absorb, apply, and progress.
When told about this course, some of my business friends said to me that they couldn’t afford the costs. I fully understood; as I couldn’t either but made it happen by focusing on the what and when and not getting to caught up in the how. Now, as I fly back to Glasgow, I knew from the beginning that I couldn’t afford not to.
I met lots of great people, had so much fun, worked hard and achieved more. I connected with Tony after telling my story and thanking him for the role he played. We hugged one another and it was special. A group of members of the crowd came by on the last day and presented me with a card to thank me for my honesty and for telling my story and being an inspiration to them all. You could have knocked me over with a feather ….. I was dumbstruck to say the least.
After a hugely successful time, it’s the time for changes to be made and the plan of action to be executed. Who knows what will happen next. One thing I do know is….
“Life will never be the same again”
“Work harder on yourself than you do on your job”
To Health, Happiness and “Strength for Life”
