I have always kept active and enjoyed playing team sports, however after starting work as a Junior Doctor I found it difficult to maintain a workout regime and quickly lost interest in the repetitiveness of using cardio equipment at the gym.
Therefore, on a whim, I decided to try out a DMC fitness free taster session and I couldn’t be happier that I did. I immediately felt at ease in the gym as the whole team is so warm and welcoming. Grant helped me to identify tangible goals which have been really motivating throughout. Following the nutrition session, I’ve completely transformed the way that I eat and have found that, not only do I have way more energy, but also enjoy my food so much more and eat a more varied and interesting diet.
I’ve genuinely loved the sessions at DMC fitness. The workouts are varied and always push me. Grant is extremely positive and so even when it all gets particularly challenging, I find that he manages to motivate me to do another rep (or five…). I had always previously felt a little lost in the weights section of gyms so it has been amazing to be supported to learn new techniques with someone who is so knowledgeable and patient. I am stronger than I have ever been before and have really enjoyed progressing in strength circuits and achieving more and more of my goals over the weeks.
Having always been a size 10, I wasn’t expecting to see a significant change in my weight, more of a tone up, however I was shocked to see my body shape change so quickly. Within 4 weeks, I could see a difference and shortly after so could family and friends. Be prepared to get some compliments! In total I’ve lost 18 pounds; a dress size and have had to buy a lot of new clothes.
My training at DMC has definitely been worth every as not only do I feel stronger, leaner and happier, but also consider it more of a hobby than a chore and look forward to each session. I couldn’t recommend trying a taster session highly enough!
