DMC was initially recommended to be by a family member after I mentioned that I wanted to rebuild some muscle and get back into shape after having my large intestine removed a few years ago. I was somewhat nervous about my consultation, worried that everyone would be very fit and intimidating but I was instantly put at ease by the team and settled in quickly.
My initial sessions were with Pablo, reworking my core and slowly rebuilding my muscles. Within a few weeks, there was a noticeable difference and I was able to tense my stomach for the first time in years. Pablo was a great coach: he was very knowledgeable and supportive throughout our time working together, helping me to increase my confidence.
After a few months, I started training with Grant, learning kettlebell routines and progressing on to other training techniques and improving my nutrition. I feel physically stronger and more confident since working with Grant and I look forward to my training sessions with him every week. Grant has expanded my knowledge of food which has ultimately led to me feeling more energetic and I have also noticed that my eczema has become less severe. He has also given me a laugh or two with his terrible jokes and embarrassing stories!
On reflection, I was very unhappy when I began training at DMC but the lifestyle change and most importantly, the support of the entire team, has enabled me to feel much more confident and happy once more. I see the team as an extended family, they are there for support and advice on all aspects of my life whenever I need them and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I am today without their support.
