How has Fitness training with DMC helped you in the following areas?

Professional life-

Before DMC fitness my eating habits were really unhealthy and relying on quick food because I was always running around in my work.

Now that I am active and watch what I am eating I have a lot more energy and I am 10x happier at my work than what I ever was.

Personal life-

I am much more confident within myself, I used to be very anxious all the time and now I feel that all the bad thoughts and anxiety are behind me.

I am a completely different person but in the best way, I’m always laughing, happy and ready for the day.

Your health and wellness-

Considering I couldn’t even run to the end of the street to now being able to run for a long distance is good enough for me.

I suffer from tonsillitis but since training over the last year I have hardly been ill nor had to take any time off work for sickness. I have maintained a really healthy lifestyle that I could never go back on.

Before I started training I was always tired and lethargic I just couldn’t be bothered with anything, I would say I was a bit depressed with everything and felt like i was dragging myself behind from success.

Buying clothes before training was soul destroying, I wanted to be a size 12 and getting to the stage of buying size 16 ruined my mental state. I felt like I didn’t want to go on nights out because I didn’t look good. It was hard to look at myself and persuade myself that I was my own kind of beautiful, because I knew it wasn’t how I wanted to look. I now look at myself and feel so happy with what I have achieved. My goal was to be a size 10/12 which I have achieved and I feel so confident when I’m going shopping. I no longer have to buy the size bigger I can now buy the size smaller!!

What new skills have you learned during your time with DMC?

Since my friends have seen a difference in me they have been asking to join me at the gym to see the kind of things I do which I think is a good achievement as I feel I’m skilled and have enough knowledge to help out others in the gym with certain exercises.

Also changing the way I think about eating food, I never persecute myself anymore about “bad” food. I have been well educated from the crew on good foods and healthy choices rather than being on the horrible 4 letter word – DIET!!!

How would you describe your coach / the coaches?

I feel like I have made friends for life and I couldn’t be around nicer people than the crew and DMC.

They support you in every way possible whether it’s a bad day to a bad month. I never feel hesitant to text them or ask them any questions and they do nothing more than go out their way to help you.

How would you describe the facility?

This is the best gym facility there is in my opinion. You may be training in front of other clients but everyone is on the same boat and everyone supports each other.

It’s a happy and welcoming gym that even if you were in a bad mood before you walked in, just seeing your trainer changes your mood instantly.

Why do you enjoy it so much much?

I feel happier within myself and couldn’t turn back from it. Looking in a mirror and not liking what you see is not how I want to live.

I enjoy releasing my stress through my work through training and any other problems soon vanish after a good workout!!

I enjoy talking to Julie and Grant every week to we always laugh together whilst working out.

What makes you want to come back?

It’s become a part of my life now, when I miss sessions I feel disoriented.

Training keeps me going and the feeling after a workout with your trainers is so so so satisfying, even if you can’t walk after!! Also just love the banter with the crew!

What advice would you give to someone thinking of coming along?

It will be the best decision you could ever make.

Your life isn’t going to change over night, you need to work really hard and continue to push yourself everyday.

It’s not a walk in the park but you will feel on top of the world when you have reached past your initial goals.

Like Pablo says “if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you” and for me that is the best way to describe any persons journey through fitness and well being.
